Cargo Run · v1

Text based adventure games, built out of numbered passages.

A Dispatch game is a bank of short passages plus a tiny state machine. You write the prose — two to five sentences a beat. The app tracks the only three things that matter out here: credits, risk, and what's actually in your hold.

Live demo · dispatch 05

The inspector at Marrow Gate has been on shift eleven hours and would very much like something interesting to happen to somebody else. Your hold is full of dairy and one crate you didn't look inside. She taps the hatch twice and waits.

Content layer

Numbered dispatches, two to five sentences each. Pure prose — no code, no scripting language to learn.

Logic layer

Each choice names the next dispatch and what it does to credits, risk, and cargo. Requirements grey out choices you can't afford.

The run

Risk climbs green to red. Hit 100 and the run ends badly. Cash in your manifest before that happens.
